I had the pleasure to compete in the Miss Louisiana Plus America Pageant this past weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  As the reigning Mrs. Bossier Parish Plus, I took pride in how would not only present myself, but represent Bossier Parish and Northwest Louisiana.

The weekend was full of fun (many thanks Mrs. Bobbie and Mrs. Peggy) and I made many new friends.  Back in the dressing room during the main production of the pageant we were helping do each other's hair, zipping up dresses, borrowing each other's shoes and make-up so that each and every one of would be able to put on their very best.  We supported each other and congratulated each other as awards were handed out. This is was pageantry is supposed to be about.

Although I did not win (1st runner-up), I enjoyed the weekend and wish I was still there ... but alas, we must go back to work.
